In his chief guest address he emphasised the Government’s continued commitment to MSME development, innovation and industrial growth. In his chief guest address, the Chief Minister highlighted that Tamil Nadu is home to over 35 lakh registered MSMEs, the highest in India and reaffirmed the State’s role as a national leader in manufacturing-driven employment generation.

The inauguration was also graced by Thiru. T.M. Anbarasan, Hon’ble Minister for MSME, Government of Tamil Nadu; Dr Atul Anand IAS., Additional Chief Secretary, MSME Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.

The 5 day exposition spanning 30000 sqm spread across eight halls, featured 520 exhibitors, including over 120 international brands, along with exclusive showcases such as the Finance Lounge, the AIEMA Members Pavilion and active participation from Public Sector Units and Academic Institutions. Attracting over 35,000 visitors, ACMEE 2025 reaffirmed its position as one of the leading machine tool shows in the country.

One of the major highlights of ACMEE 2025 was ARTECH, International Conference on Automation and Robotics held on 20 – 21 June 2025. The two-day event spotlighted the rapid digital transformation taking place within India’s manufacturing sector, with a special focus on empowering MSMEs through advanced technologies and stronger industry- academia partnerships.

The conference opened with insightful discussions on how MSMEs contributing nearly half of the country’s manufacturing output that are steadily embracing digital tools such as real time monitoring systems, collaborative robotics and cloud-based platforms. Speakers emphasised on the need for fast and flexible reskilling strategies to develop a new generation of engineers capable of working across mechanical, electrical and digital domains. It was also highlighted that true digital transformation requires not just technology adoption, but a thoughtful alignment with internal processes and operational improvements. A key highlight was the Digital Twin Revolution, where experts shared how virtual replicas of machines and systems can enhance predictive maintenance, reduce downtime and support smarter, data-driven decisions.

The second day of the conference delved into Industrial AI, Explainable & Generative AI and Human Machine Collaboration. Discussions explored how AI technologies can enhance efficiency across the manufacturing lifecycle, reduce production rework and support mass customisation. The discussions highlighted how AI technologies are driving greater efficiency across the entire manufacturing lifecycle, enabling reduced rework, improved precision, and support for mass customization. Rather than being viewed as a disruptive force, AI was presented as a powerful enabler—one that empowers industries to minimise errors, enhance decision-making speed, and build a more resilient and future-ready manufacturing ecosystem.

ACMEE 2025 witnessed several cutting-edge product launches highlighted the technological advancements in the machine tool and manufacturing sector. Highlights included the next-generation MAXIMA Series HS-540K Horizontal Machining Center, the S Turn 2M Compact Turnmill Center, the JD2L Compact Vertical Machining Center, a 5-axis CNC Vertical Machining Centre, smart hydraulic power packs with integrated IoT features, and high-speed electric motors.

ACMEE 2025 witnessed strong participation from Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), including key players from the Defence and Railways sectors. Their presence highlighted the latest technologies, innovative products and strategic services aimed at strengthening indigenous capabilities. A focused PSU participation initiative was curated to foster indigenisation and procurement partnerships, facilitating numerous B2B meetings between public sector buyers and MSME manufacturers. These interactions, along with detailed presentations, significantly contributed to advancing supply chain localisation and reinforcing the Government of India’s “Make in India” initiative.

The event also provided a powerful platform for MSMEs and startups to showcase innovation and connect with larger industry players. A dedicated Automation and Robotics Pavilion was curated to highlight emerging technologies and services from MSMEs and startups, featuring solutions in additive manufacturing, robotics, industrial IOT and green Manufacturing

In parallel, ACMEE 2025 created opportunities for academia, with ten universities selected by the AIEMA College Project Team to present their best-in-class innovations. These projects were showcased to trade visitors, industry representatives, exhibitors and delegates, underlining the critical role of academic research and youth-driven innovation in shaping the future of manufacturing.

ACMEE 2025 concluded on a high note, celebrating its achievements while setting sights on future growth. The final day marked a culmination of five impactful days of business, innovation and collaboration. With over 35000 plus business and trade visitors and projected trade transactions amounting to ≈ ₹1000 crore. Exhibitors commended the quality and relevance of visitor interactions, the depth of B2B engagements and the extensive media visibility the event received.

The event was widely covered by leading national and regional media outlets, additionally, ACMEE 2025 made a strong digital impact, generating over 2.5 million impressions across social media and online platforms.

The resounding success of ACMEE 2025 stands as a testament to the resilience and dynamism of Tamil Nadu’s industrial ecosystem and the impeccable execution by AIEMA.
